The Good Samaritan Hospital (Samaritan Center's parent company) is applying for the Direct Service Workforce Investment Grant.
If the grant is awarded, Good Samaritan Hospital plans to use the funding from the Direct Service Workforce Investment Grant to provide additional PTO time for service workers.
Following a poll of Samaritan Center providers, it was learned that Paid Time Off (PTO) is one of the most enjoyed and appreciated benefits. As a result of the Covid pandemic, work/life balance is taking on a new importance for front line staff, and burnout is the top reason for turnover. With funds received through the Direct Service Workforce Investment Grant, Samaritan Center proposes a new benefit -- providing each provider with additional days of PTO.
