
Inpatient Psychiatric Unit
LaSalle Behavioral Health is the inpatient psychiatric unit at Good Samaritan. Our 20-bed crisis stabilization unit is for those 18 years and older with a serious mental illnesses ranging from, but not limited to, depression, suicidal ideation, bi-polar disorder, and psychosis. Crisis Stabilization Units are short-term treatment units that provide immediate care to individuations experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. The goal of the crisis stabilization units is to quickly stabilize the individual, often within 72 hours, refer that individual to outpatient programming and to begin a medication plan that is safe, easy and effective for the patient.
The LaSalle Behavioral Health Unit utilizes a team concept for treatment that consists of social workers, case managers, nurses, patient care technicians, activities coordinators, residents and physicians to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care for the patients.
